Medium Voltage Motors

Medium voltage motors are available as water-cooled, pipe-ventilated or explosion-proof.

Various designs available include:

Enclosed fan cooled with an external, shaft-mounted cooling fan to blow ambient air over the motor surface.
Open drip proof suitable for an indoor installation.
Explosion proof in a specially designed TEFC motor.
Water cooled that flows water through a water-to-air heat exchanger.
Enclosed pipe cooled using external air to circulate through the motor
Weather Protected Type 1 and Type II that use a top bonnet air duct that routes the air as pre-scribed by NEMA.
